Musician, guitarist, singer, and Brazilian songwriter who arrived in the Canary Islands at the end of 2016, when he was still known and more widely recognized as Jonas Cruz. In 2019, he changed his artistic name to Jonas Aponte, under which he currently performs. In less than a month, he connected with great musicians and artists from Tenerife, forming groups and performing in bars, venues, cultural associations, and festivals. He is currently recording an album with 10 original tracks at Estudio 9 (Valle de Guerra), together with Agustín Buenafuente (bass) and Tiago Braúna (drums), and featuring collaborations with Canarian and Brazilian musicians on several tracks.

As a solo artist, he has given multiple performances since the age of 16, when he began playing professionally and accompanying different bands and musicians.

Since settling in Tenerife, he has invested more time, energy, and dedication into his own compositions—modern songs with poetic lyrics sung in Portuguese. It was during this period that he also began to focus on singing and performing solo. He has already performed solo in various venues across Tenerife, many of them more than once, and also with a band.
