The 10th CoolMoon · Culturas del Mundo Fest 2026 presents Afrocuband in Lanzarote, a group formed by musicians from Mauritania, the Canary Islands and Cuba, offering a musical journey through desert sounds, Atlantic connections and Caribbean rhythms.

The band brings together Ali on guitar, Bah on drums, J. Alberto Medina on piano, Tomás LP Cruz on bass and Kervin Barreto on trumpet. Through this instrumental line-up, Afrocuband creates a fresh, creative and relaxed live sound, where African roots, Cuban energy and the musical perspective of the Canary Islands come together as a meeting point between cultures.

Their proposal is inspired by the cultural journeys back and forth between Africa, the Atlantic and the Caribbean, finding a common thread in humanity, shared musicality and rhythmic codes that travel, transform and come alive again on stage.

In the close and vibrant atmosphere of Bar La Morra, in Costa Teguise, the festival invites audiences to enjoy a concert full of fusion, rhythm and collective energy, designed to be felt as much as listened to.
