COOLMOON FESTIVAL
CoolMoon – Culturas del Mundo Fest is a landmark multicultural festival in the Canary Islands that specializes in world music, understood as a range of artistic expressions rooted in local traditions yet open to dialogue with contemporary languages. The festival offers a broad and diverse program that includes concerts, workshops, talks, participatory activities, and educational initiatives.
Its main goal is to provide an inclusive artistic experience that promotes interculturality, social cohesion, and democratic access to culture. Through this event, the recognition and visibility of the cultures present in the islands are encouraged, while also connecting with international artistic circuits through the participation of artists from Senegal, Cameroon, Morocco, Cuba, Argentina, Brazil, Italy, and other origins, alongside a strong representation of Canarian musicians.
The event aims to strengthen cultural ties among the three continents that shape Canarian identity: Africa, Europe, and America. The program takes place in meaningful public spaces, enhancing its symbolic value and its impact on revitalizing both urban and rural environments.
